Quick help: Walk-up hours (generally M-F) are posted in the library.

Schedule an appointment: Meet with a librarian on the topic of your choice.

Dissertation assistance:

A librarian can help with these aspects of your dissertation:

  • Finding full-text articles and evidence to use.
  • Managing and organizing your research.
  • Using tools for bigger scale projects, like citation managers.
  • Basic writing advice (you are the content expert, a librarian can give insight on general writing structure and organization).
  • Citing evidence.

PSY.D. Students should submit their completed dissertations here:

Proquest allows students to share the bibliographic information of their dissertation (not the content, unless it's open access) with the academic world on sites like Web of Science, ProQuest Dissertations, and Google Scholar. At an additional cost to the student, ProQuest offers an "open access" option, which would make a student's dissertation publicly available to the academic world. Students can also obtain a physical copy of their dissertation through ProQuest. However, ProQuest Dissertations is not considered a publishing platform.

Students, please confer with your dissertation advisors and with the instructions provided by your college to make sure you comply with their rules and guidelines.

Steps for using ProQuest:

  • Create a student account
  • Go through the submission checklist on your ProQuest account dashboard
  • Recommended:
    • Traditional publishing route
    • Purchase a printed copy of your dissertation for your own personal collection
