Turnitin account setup

For teaching faculty: email library@cnsu.edu to get an instructor account set up for Turnitin. You will receive an email with instructions on how to finish setting up your account (username, password). From there, you can create classes and integrate Turnitin into Canvas.

Setting up your Turnitin account from your welcome email
If you (as a professor) have received a welcome email from Turnitin, this confirms that your institution's Turnitin administrator has added you to their institutional account as an instructor, allowing you to begin creating classes, adding students, and creating assignments.
Logging in
To begin using Turnitin, you must first log in. During login, a cookie will be set on your web browser to allow Turnitin to authorize your access during use of the site.
Resetting your password
Eventually, your Turnitin password will expire and will need to be reset. You can reset your password by sending a reset link to the email address that is associated with your Turnitin account.
Creating a class
The creation of a class on the Turnitin system is the first step in allowing an instructor and students to access and use the services available at their institution. Most instructor and student activity on Turnitin occurs within the class or classes created by an instructor.
Turnitin user guides
Turnitin has created user guides with directions on: grading, giving feedback, and managing classes and assignments. Also included are additional instructions for students using Turnitin to submit assignments.
